SIENN became a software solution vendor for BAYER through an official tender process. Among other mid-size companies, SIENN has been chosen as the best match of price vs quality and standards. The purpose of the cooperation was to create two autonomous projects: EyePlus and VentaPlus, which brought onhand support, control, and innovation to BATER’s medical staff and their patients.
BAYER is one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world, with a more than 150-year history and core competencies in the Life Science fields of health care and agriculture. BAYER’s innovative products respond to global challenges, and improve the quality of people’s lives, by focusing on preventing, alleviating, and curing diseases.
BAYER also makes an important contribution to provide an adequate supply of high-quality food, feed, and renewable plant-based raw materials.
BAYER’s objective was to ameliorate and support the daily work of healthcare staff, who treat their patients with Eyelea drug. This treatment requires well trained medical personnel, who along with professional training, needed and application for a tablet, that contains all necessary video instructions, available at fingertips.
SIENN developed and EyePlus application available for tablets, and administration panel accessible through a web browser.
The application was created to be used directly by nurses, who can:
- add/delete patients form the system
- mark the date of the beginning of treatment
- use and order new training materials
- make medical reports
- send adverse events to pharmacovigilance
Users of the administration panel have remote control over the EyePlus application, where they can analyze statistics, treatment process, and manage certain data in the application.
This solution is easily accessible from different types of devices, without the necessity to download and install the program on the computer. Updates and upgrades are possible in stealth mode, therefore whole maintenance, and service activities are transparent to the end-user.
SIENN introduced the EyePlus application and its web administration panel along with specialized training for all its users, providing the materials as tutorials, guidelines, and accessible hotline service, where SIENN’s workers are available every working day.
